Vigils & Crisis Response

Standing With Families in Their Darkest Hours

When tragedy strikes a family or neighborhood, NYC Clergy responds — organizing community vigils that bring together faith leaders, elected officials, community partners, and neighbors to grieve, pray, and stand together.

What Is a Community Vigil?

A community vigil organized by NYC Clergy is not a political event. It is a sacred gathering — a moment for a community to come together in faith, to honor a life lost, to surround a grieving family with love and presence, and to declare that no family faces tragedy alone in New York City. We coordinate with families, elected officials, law enforcement, community organizations, and faith leaders to create gatherings that are dignified, prayerful, and healing.

NYC Clergy and the United Clergy Coalition do not accept donations on behalf of families. All donation support goes directly to the families. Please donate directly using the links provided at each vigil.
